We are interested in questions like ‘what makes us human,’ ‘why do some things feel easy, but others feel hard,’ and ‘how do we make sense of a confusing world?’

Our lab's focus includes metacognitive reasoning about confidence: the way we signal to ourselves that something seems trustworthy.

Another  main focus is collaborative reasoning: how people work together toward common goals. We look at how our minds think about other people and navigate conflicting opinions.
